Biographical Info

My radio career transitioned quickly to the technical side after WVUM. I rebuilt studios for most of the stations where I worked. I worked for South Florida stations WVCG-AM (board-op and assistant engineer), WTMI-FM (announcer and station engineer), and WHYI-FM (contract engineer). I later worked at WEBE-FM, Bridgeport, CT (chief engineer); WYCL-FM, Reading, PA (chief engineer); WRFY-FM, Reading, PA (announcer); WDOK-FM/WRMR-AM, Cleveland (station engineer); WZAK-FM/WZJM-FM/WJMO-AM, Cleveland (chief engineer); WMMS-FM/WHK-AM, Cleveland (chief engineer). I wrote for broadcast trade publications beginning at UM, and was hired as the editor of Radio magazine from 1997 to 2014. I am an active member and Fellow of the Society of Broadcast Engineers, having served as president from 2005-2007. I was hired as communications director in 2015. Outside of broadcasting, I play in the American Legion Band of Greater Kansas City and lead a German band called the Happy Wanderers.
